The Best Lip Colors for Fall – Two Might Be Surprising!

Fall is my favorite time of year…for lip colors (and basically everything else too, let’s be honest). There’s something about a berry or dark red that really puts me in a good mood. And the fact that darker colors really pop against my super pale skin is a plus, too.

Today I’m sharing the best lip colors I’ve come across for the fall season. They’re all mostly on the darker side, with a couple of exceptions…

My favorite lip colors for fall.

I mostly stick to more matte lips during the cooler months, mainly because I associate glowy, sparkly, glossy looks with spring and summer. It does look like glossy looks are coming back on trend, though!

Almost all of the lippies I’ve included in the post are from the drugstore (or drugstore prices). I’ve been on a drugstore makeup kick, lately.

Swatches of the best lip colors for fall.

1.  L’Oreal Infallible Pro-Matte Liquid Lipstick – Stirred

I included these in my July & August favorites post; I’ve been absolutely in love with the formula of these. This particular shade, Stirred, is a really deep, reddish brown. It gives me a lot of 90’s vibes.

2.  Colourpop Lippie Stix – Ellarie

This color is a lot deeper than what the camera is picking up, more of a deep, cranberry red. I got this back in April, I think. Since it was getting into spring, I kind of put it away until now, but I’m exciting to start using it!

3.  Sephora Cream Lip Stain Liquid Lipstick – Blackberry Sorbet

Before I found the beautifulness of the L’Oreal Pro-Matte Liquid Lipsticks, these Sephora Cream Lip Stains were my favorite. I especially fell in love with this purple-y berry color. Although it can be a bit patchy, you just need to work with it a little to make it work.

4.  Rimmel London Lasting Finish Matte Lipstick by Kate Moss – Kiss of Life 111

This is my new favorite red lipstick (as shown in my September monthly favorites). I know this isn’t typically an autumnal lip color, but I knew I wouldn’t be able to stop wearing it. It’s a perfect reddish orange, and I think it wold be flattering on literally everyone.

5.  Essence Nude Longlasting Lipstick – Cool Nude 05

And now, the only nude I’ve included on this list. I don’t actually wear a lot of nudes, but I always pull out this one when it gets little chillier outside. I think everyone needs a true cool, pinky nude for the colder months.

What are your favorite lip colors to wear during fall? Lemme know!
